Collaborations: External Partners
HZ is a University of Applied Sciences, meaning we conduct impactful, practice-oriented research driven by societal challenges presented by businesses, public institutions, and organizations. The challenges in the Southwest Delta often require integrated solutions, so various research groups regularly collaborate. At the same time, we aim to remain approachable for small and medium-sized businesses with smaller, single-discipline questions.
Delta Climate Center
The Delta Climate Center is a partnership of six educational and research institutions, including HZ. Through research and education, the center aims to contribute impactfully to a sustainable future for delta regions worldwide. By pooling expertise across many disciplines (from vocational to academic levels), the DCC seeks to develop coherent new insights for complex transition issues, while also bringing innovative solutions into practice. The DCC works with a wide range of external stakeholders: businesses, social organizations, governments, residents, and other knowledge partners.
Centres of expertise
Centres of expertise (CoEs) hold a special position within HZ. These are structural collaborations between universities of applied sciences, businesses, governments, and other public and social organizations. CoEs support the ambitions of research groups by aligning with national research agendas. This is done in close consultation with the professors.
From ARC-TWE, we are closely involved with the following CoEs:
- Delta Platform, focused on water
- MNext, focused on materials and energy transition
- KennisDC Logistiek, focused on logistics.
