Budget Buddy shares budget-proof recipes, especially for HZ-students
As a student, it is wise to pay a little attention to your finances. Maybe you live in a room or you don't have that much free time left to earn money. Of course, you don't want to compromise on fun.
That's where Budget Buddy developed a tool for that. The Student Company consists of eight International Business students. As international students living in rooms in Zeeland, they are the ultimate experience experts when it comes to cooking and budgeting. They have also figured out all the financial matters that are important for an (international) student living away from home.
The result? A financial guide with 52 recipes from cultures all around the world, a budget planner and information on how to obtain the most important study grants available to students. For HZ Life, Budget Buddy was willing to give a sneak preview. Will you try the recipes?
The founding of Budget Buddy The second academic year is dominated by the Student Company for programmes in the economic domain. In 20 weeks, HZ students develop a product or service. From researching the needs of the target group to selling: the complete entrepreneurship is covered. Thanks to their own experiences, Budget Buddy members were aware of the challenges you face as a student living away from home. Their survey revealed a need for support in three areas: budgeting, student finance and affordable recipes.
Budgeting, student finance and cooking Team member Jack says: "It not always easy to take care of your finances being a student with a loaded academic schedule and social calendar. Our guide empowers students to manage their finances during their studies. It offers a three-part approach: A budgeting tool, 52 delicious and affordable recipes collected from various cultures, and valuable information on obtaining student grants for international students." So a tum trip to the snack bar due to lack of inspiration is really no longer a valid excuse. ;-)
The strength of the team According to Jack, Budget Buddy's success factor lies in the composition of the team: "We are privileged to have six nationalities represented in our team. As a result, we have a complete picture of needs from international students." Still, success does not come to them: "Our greatest strength lies in our dedication to provide the right information as well as creative inspiration to students.
