Logistics Engineering
It sounds simple, but the process behind it is anything but. How can your new sneakers arrive the next day, even if they’re shipped from the other side of the world? Every day, major companies like DHL and Amazon face the challenge of delivering products on time. This requires smart logistics and effective management. With innovations such as self-driving trucks, delivery drones, and warehouse robots, the logistics sector is constantly evolving, and so is the way these processes are managed.

‘During high school, I discovered my passion for planning and optimising, especially when combined with my love for math—so logistics felt like the perfect fit. I chose HZ because I heard of its supportive and approachable teachers, and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced these years a student. They genuinely want their students to succeed. Living abroad has helped me grow personally, especially in time management and networking. I’ve also worked on many interesting projects, including field trips to logistics hubs. My favourite was managing a virtual logistics company—it was fun, challenging, and gave me a real feel for how the industry works. ’ Dzonatans from Latvia
